YASI

Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, Jasmine Safaeian now resides in Los Angeles whenever she is not on the road as a touring music photographer.

Her family calls her Yasi (yah-see), and despite their best efforts to raise a doctor or engineer, Yasi has been a music photographer for over 20 years. Her photographic mission is to capture her feelings and daydreams rather than to document what's in front of her. Yasi’s ethereal cinematic style has attracted clients such as Lady Gaga, Kacey Musgraves, Halsey, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Jennie to name a few.

Yasi won the Mentorship Grand Prize from head judge Rankin at the 2023 Abbey Road Music Photography Awards where she was also shortlisted in the Undiscovered Photographer of the Year category. She has additionally been nominated for Favorite Tour Photographer at the 2023 and 2025 iHeart Awards for her work with Halsey and Kacey Musgraves respectively.
