Lily Fontaine

Lily Fontaine is the vocalist of English Teacher. Influenced by literature, art and the landscapes of the Yorkshire/Lancashire border, their debut album won the 2024 Mercury Prize for its surrealist commentary on modern Britain. When she is not making music she can be found writing poetry and prose, researching and creating visual art, drinking Guinness zero and reading science fiction.
