THIS YEAR'S GUEST CATEGORY DIVES INTO THE HEART OF CLUB CULTURE - FROM ICONIC DANCE FLOORS TO UNDERGROUND ENERGY.
Each year, we introduce a guest category to celebrate a different music scene and this year, it's all about Club Culture. From the sweat-drenched dancefloors of Studio 54 and The Haçienda, to Fabric, Berghain, Zouk and the clubs of Ibiza, Rio and New York. We want to see images that capture the essence of nightlife, underground scenes, and the community that makes club culture so electric. Show us what club culture means to you.
Note: As this is our Guest Category, images entered can be from any year.

"I’m excited to be involved in this year’s MPA competition as a mentor and I’m doubly excited because this year’s guest category is ‘Club Culture’. It’ll be really interesting to see what images come in and who ultimately wins. The Club category is a dream brief because it’s so broad and open to interpretation. Whether it’s reportage, portraiture or more abstract interpretations, there are so many different ways Club Culture can be represented. The scope here is vast, covering all genres of music and the scenes that surround them too, so it’s a truly wonderful spectrum to work with - the energy of the clubbing experience itself, the response of the photographer and the way the resulting photographs can plug right into atmospheres, unveiling the attitude of what is being encountered. I’m looking forward to seeing some amazing photography and meeting the winner, so we can explore their work and thought process further."
