Arrest the judge – musician & multidisciplinary artist Shygirl will join legendary Rankin to award the musical images that stop them in their tracks.
Shygirl is a multidisciplinary artist originating from the East London club scene. She co-founded one of the scene’s most vital collectives: the club label NUXXE and, at the helm, shaped the label into a defining force. She released her genre bending and highly conceptual EP ALIAS in November 2020 to critical acclaim which featured production from longtime collaborator Sega Bodega and the late pop pioneer SOPHIE. She has since collaborated with Arca and Slowthai on single BDE and recently released Cleo, which introduced us to a more expansive and cinematic Shygirl universe.
Recognition of Shygirl’s unique vision and style extends beyond the world of music and into high fashion. Autumn 2021 saw her collaborate with and become the centrepiece for Riccardo Tisci’s AW21 presentation and she has soundtracked shows for the likes of Mugler and Savage x Fenty. Shygirl recently appeared on FKA Twigs’ mixtape CAPRISONGS and is working on new music to be released later in 2022.
